Obituary of Wanda Wilson
Wanda May Wilson (nee Baker) passed away peacefully at the Clinton Public Hospital on Wednesday September 30, 2020 just 23 days short of her 102nd birthday.
Born on October 23, 1918 in Saskatchewan she was the eldest girl of 13 children. Weighing just 2 pounds at birth Wanda demonstrated a great determination for life that continued throughout her years.
After her family packed their belongings and moved to Ontario she worked as a housekeeper for a variety of families. She would eventually meet the love of her life, "Her Adam", where they would build a home in Stanley Township and later retire in Clinton.
Wanda enjoyed dancing, sewing, knitting and a love for her home. She was very proud of her family and grand children and cherished being able to see all of their accomplishments.
Wanda was able to stay in her home due to her own determination and fabulous care from her PSW's and Meals on Wheels. She thoroughly enjoyed drop in visits from many special friends and family. She was also grateful for good neighbours that kept and eye on her as well as her hairstylist, Trudy who kept her looking beautiful.
She is survived by one son Adam (Chris) Wilson of Clinton; grandchildren Paige (Joel), Ali and Garrett; two daughters Joyce (Clayton) Titus of London and their family and Lawna (John Nice) Osborne Storosko of Welland and their family; one brother Bill (Marg) Baker and two sisters Irene Tyndall and Betty Grenier and many more family members. Predeceased by her husband Adam, her parents and other family members.
Due to the current covid restrictions a private family funeral service will be held on Saturday October 3rd. Interment Baird's Cemetery, Stanley Township.
Donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, One Care, or the Huron Residential Hospice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
