While I didn't know Colleen well and mostly as Truman and Ivy's mom, her cheerful positive nature made a great impression on me especially when I knew she was so challenged by her health and life circumstances. The thought of leaving her children and her husband to go on without her must have been unbearable at times, but from what I saw and what others who knew her more intimately than I have spoken to, her strength and generousity of spirit prevailed. I am so very sorry we didn't have time to become the good friends I sensed we could have become.
