Cook Esther Jean (McIntyre) At Wildwood Nursing Home in St Mary's, Esther Jean Cook (McIntyre) in her 92nd year. Cherished wife of the late William F. Cook. Loving mother to Alan Cook of Stratford, Lynda and Ron King of Lakeside. Missed by her grandchildren Jeff (Nathalie) King, Michael (Alison) King and David King. Proud great grandmother to Elizabeth, Ainsley, Lindsey and Rowan. Survived by nieces Shirley (the Late Stewart Rice), Mary (Jim) Dougall, Ruth Jackson, nephew Paul Wilson and several grand nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Sharzel and Jean McIntyre (Muir) of Avonbank and St.Mary's. Sisters Ruth (Doug Tuttle & Ken Gunning), Helene (Nelson Roulston & Inman Thompson), Murial in infancy, twin sister Marion (Jack Wilson) and nephew Bob Thompson. Brother and sister in law Frank and Elva Mutch of Clinton, father and mother in law William J. and Avilenia Cook of Clinton. Esther moved to Clinton during the war years and was a switchboard supervisor at Bell Canada. She married Bill (Blondie) in September 1945 and they made homes in London, Sarnia, Waterloo, Clinton and finally Goderich where they lived for nearly 40 years. After Bills death in 2006 Esther returned to Perth County and lived in Stratford before returning to St. Mary's in 2015. Esther took great pride in maintaining her beautiful home. She loved gardening, needlework and entertaining family and their wide circle of friends. In accordance with Esther's wishes a private family burial will take place at Clinton Cemetery. Esther's family would like to thank the staff at her former residence The Anne Hathaway Retirement Home and the staff of Wildwood Nursing Home for making Esther's life comfortable and peaceful in her last years.
