Obituary of Jean Henrietta Lubbers

Peacefully, while being held by her family, at Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday September 30, 2017 Jean (Zomer) Lubbers of Clinton in her 62nd year. Loving wife of the late Henry Lubbers (2008). Loving mother of Joseph & Amy of Exeter, Eric & Kelly of Simcoe, Scott of Clinton and Donna & Terry Smith of Clinton. Cherished Oma of Sydney, Travis, Alexander, Darren, Mark, Martina, Shania and Owen. Dear sister of Anne Houthuyzen of Ingersoll, Rita & Steve Borho of Guelph, Judy & Darryl Hill of Woodstock, Jan & Marianne Iedema of Woodstock, George & Cathy Lubbers of St. Thomas, and Tony & Sylvia Verburg of Blyth. Jean was loved and will be remembered by her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Rex (1995) & Tina (2012) Zomer, her in laws Ralph (2015) & Grace (2003) Lubbers, her siblings Ernest Houthuyzen (2010), Everett (1993) & Brenda (1996) Zomer, Roely Verburg (2010), Andy Lubbers (2015), and her nephew Andrew Zomer (2007). Visitation will be held at the Vanastra Christian Reformed Church, 50 Fifth Ave. Vanastra, Ont. on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 3, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. At Jean's request cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Baird's Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
