Obituary of Margaret Grace Young

Surrounded by family on Monday November 13, 2017 Margaret Grace (Bassett) Young of Huronview Home and formerly of Goderich in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Harold F. (2010). They had been married 67 years. Beloved mother of Terry (Cathy) of Stratford, Ron (Helen) of Clinton, Wayne (Gloria) of RR#6 Goderich and Dianne (Brian) MacLean of Port Albert. Missed by 9 grand and 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Ernie and Maggie Bassett of Richmond B.C., and sisters Mary and Audrey. Marg worked at the Goderich post office for 23 years and was the last chartered member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Goderich branch 109 Ladies Auxiliary, having served for 70 years. Marg also volunteered for the Goderich Hospital Auxiliary. At Marg's request cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Dr. East Goderich on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Archdeacon Allan Livingstone, Legion Chaplain, officiating. Inurnment, Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. The family would like to thank the staff of the 100 wing at Huronview for their caring and compassion.
