Hallo Helen en andere familieleden, via deze weg wil ik jullie condoleren met het verlies van Laurence. Ik hoorde in Nederland van zijn overlijden via familie van mijn schoondochter, die bij jullie de buurt wonen. Heel lang geleden kwam Kees jaarlijks bij mijn moeder Adrie van der Linde langs als hij Europa bezocht. Laurence kwam ook eens mee en kreeg toen van mijn broer Jaap een aantal kleine fitnessspullen mee. Jaren later, begin jaren 80, ben ik welkom geheten in Goderich, in het nederlandse huisje op het erf van Annie en Kees, toen ik 2 maanden door Canada reisde. Ik heb toen nog met Laurence golf gespeeld. Ik zag bij jullie thuis toen nog een foto waarop Laurence met de fitness spullen speelde, zo toevallig. Ondanks dat het bijna 6 jaar geleden is, zul je Laurence zeker nog missen, vermoed ik. Sterkte gewenst uit Nederland. Groet ook aan de andere familieleden zoals Casey en Megan, Gilbert en Annie. Our hearts ache for your family. I've so enjoyed crossing paths with your loving family (if only in brief instances) and I'll always remember Laurence as being so outgoing and welcoming. I remember being at Kait and Matt's wedding and Laurence just randomly coming up to me and asking me to dance after only meeting me a handful of times. He was giving Tom a hard time for not wanting to dance...hahaha. I also have fond memories of him coming down to the camp site. He always had a story to tell and always made everyone feel welcome and understood. You could see the deep love he had for his family, and the pure kindness he extended to others. That is what I remember of Laurence.
I know with his character he must have left you with a lifetime of memories, and I know you wish you had many more to come. I think if you take a good look, and with his determination to show you love from beyond, you will see many more glimpses of him ahead.

I want to let you know how sorry I was to hear of Lawrence's accident, and now so sad that he has had to leave us all behind.
I am grateful for the many times he came to visit Andy during his years of illness. Often with a tray of eggs in his hands, and a smile on his face. He certainly would brighten his day.
I know that he is up there with Andy and they are looking down on us with a sweet smile....probably having a little game of golf....a few jokes and laughs....
