At Clinton Public Hospital on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Fred Meier Sr. of East Wawanosh Township in his 91st year. Beloved husband for 64 years of Johanna (Hanny). Loving father of Fred and Linda Meier, Oscar and Mary Ann Meier and Chris and Jane Meier. Cherished Grandfather of Heidi (David) Laing, Laura (Greg) Blackwell, Kerri Meier, Nicole (Pat) Donnelly, Ryan and Jeff Meier, Jason and Emily Meier. Treasured Great Grandpa to Aydan and Hailey Laing, Andrew and Nigel Blackwell and Sam, Beth and Camille Donnelly. Remembered by his family in Switzerland. Friends will be received at the Blyth United Church, 442 Mill Street, Blyth, Ontario on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Hillary MacDonald officiating. Spring Inurnment of ashes, Brandon Cemetery in Belgrave at a later date.
