At Holland Christian Homes, Brampton on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 Writzer “Fritz” Datema of Brampton and formerly of Auburn in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Grace (de Vries) Datema (2017). Loving father of Marg & Carl Mount of Queensville, Mathilda Tisseur of Cambridge, Ralph & Pat Datema of Clinton, Anita Wilson of Sardis, BC, and Frank & Boni Datema of Aldergrove, BC. Cherished by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Mervyn Datema of Blyth, Fredrika Datema, Martha Valkema, Ankie & Jan Buikema, all of The Netherlands, and brother in law of Ina de Vries of Chatham, Truus & Hilko Rozema, Cees & Ity de Vries, all of The Netherlands, and Dorothy de Vries of PEI. Predeceased by his brother Henk & Francine Datema, sister in law Gaye Datema, and brothers in law Albert Valkema, Jan de Vries and Ekke de Vries. A memorial service will be held in the Heritage Hall at Holland Christian Homes, 7900 McLaughlin Road, Brampton on Friday August 17 at 4:00 p.m. following the interment at Ball’s Cemetery, Auburn. Memorial donations to World Renew or the Lighthouse, Toronto would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements entrusted to the Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton Chapel.
