Obituary of Douglas Thornton Bartliff

BARTLIFF: DOUGLAS THORNTON Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Huronview Home, Clinton, on Friday June 9, 2017. Mr. Douglas Thornton Bartliff of Clinton in his 93rd year. Beloved husband for 68 years to Helen. Loving father of Peggy & Jim Middleton of Clinton, Cathy Murray of Clinton, and Julie Jantzi of Brussels. Cherished grandfather of Meggin & Brian, Jody, Angela & Kevin, Kendall & Andrew, and Travis. Great grandfather of Parker, Ashley, Kaissen, and Brody. Predeceased by infant son Robert James, sons in law Garry Murray, and Gerry Jutzi, grandson Craig Jutzi, and by his siblings Bruce, Elliott, and Dorothy. Doug was an owner of Bartliff's Bakery in Clinton for many years. At Doug's request cremation has taken place. Friends and family will be received at Falconer Funeral Homes, 153 High St., Clinton, on Friday June 16, 2017 from 12 noon until time of the Celebration of Life Service at 2 p.m. Inurnment of ashes at Clinton Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Br #140 Clinton, or the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
