Cowan: Violet May nee (Nivins) Peacefully at Huronview Home for the Aged on Thursday, September 15, 2016 Violet May Cowan (Nivins) formerly of Auburn and Goderich in her 87th year. Predeceased by beloved husband Bill Cowan (2006). Loving father to Dwight (Marion) Cowan of Guelph, George (Christine) Cowan of London and Chris (Barb) Cowan of Auburn. Cherished grandmother to Sherri, Wendi, Tim, Jeff and Julie. Loved by 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Survived by sister Lillian Nicholson of Seaforth. Predeceased by sister Margaret Tait. Violet loved working at Alexandria Marine and General Hospital. She enjoyed every aspect of her job, especially helping people. Cremation has taken place. A graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 24th, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Blyth Union Cemetery with reception to follow at Auburn Hall. Donations may be made to Alexandra Marine & General Hospital or the Alzheimer Society of Huron County. Condolences may be left at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
