Obituary of Darlene (Darla) Hunking

Hunking: Darlene (Darla) Janette Darlene (Darla) Janette Hunking passed away peacefully Saturday October 10th 2020, on her 55th Birthday, with her daughters at her side. Darla found immense joy in supporting and celebrating those close to her. She worked tirelessly to provide her daughters opportunities to succeed. Hockey arenas, soccer fields, and race tracks will be less bright without her big brown eyes, sunshine smile and quick wit. Her grand babies Vincenzo and Cristiano, who lovingly called her “YaYa,” were her greatest sources of joy in her final years. She excitedly anticipated the arrival of daughter Natalie’s firstborn in early 2021. Darlene is survived by her daughters Nicole(Vince Spremulli) and Natalie(Benji Faulkner), grandchildren Vincenzo and Cristiano, mother Janet Hunking (Harold Gibbings), siblings Larry(Christy) Hunking, Bruce(Paige) Hunking, Debora Fisher, Ron(Kathy) Hunking, Louise Miller, Eric McNee (Lorraine Urquhart), handfuls of nieces and nephews, and her special ‘bonus daughter’ Caitlyn Pollard. Predeceased by her father Joseph Hunking, sister Kate McNee, nephew Jeff McNee, and brother-in-law Brian Miller. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes – Clinton Chapel, 153 High St., Clinton on Thursday from 6-9 p.m., and on Friday from 4-6 & 7-9 p.m. A private funeral service to follow. Due to Covid 19, all those who wish to attend visitation must rsvp with the funeral home please call the funeral home to arrange a time, as well all attendees must wear a mask to enter the funeral home. At Darlene’s request, she asks that in lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in her memory are invited to ‘spoil her grand babies like she hoped to’ by contributing to their savings fund.
