Obituary of Fred Radley

FREDERICK JOHN RADLEY June 4 1930-November 17 2020 In June of this year we celebrated a milestone of 90 years. Today we honour the passing of Fred--Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, at Huron Hospice Residence. Fred arrived in Clinton from Osprey Township near Singhampton, Ontario to work the farm at the County Home (Huronview) in the late 1940's. In 1952 he signed on with Ontario Hydro to work over 40 years as a Linesman and Line Foreman. Being introduced to Jane was the start of a loving relationship that has spanned his lifetime. Married in May 1957, Fred and Jane have raised their family of three and watched that family expand with pride and enjoyment. Once retired from Ontario Hydro, Fred began the next chapter of his life as a volunteer. For the next 25 years he helped out again at Huronview, the Betty Cardno Centre and the Exeter Day Away Program chauffeuring the folks who attended their programs and delivering the meals that they were served. Fred will be dearly missed by Jane, his wife, and their children Teresa and Rick Lougheed, Gina and Charlie Wise and Fred and Karen Radley. Loved by grand children Darren Lougheed and Ainsley, Shannon Lougheed, Alex Wise and Katie, Adrienne Wise and Paul, Meredith Wise and Kalen, Samantha Radley, Kate Radley and Jessica Radey. Great Grandpa to Roya and Luna Wise. Fred was one of the eleven children John and Hannah Radley raised in Osprey Township in Grey County. Fred has been predeceased by all but his sisters Grace and her husband Graham, Eva and Millie. He will be remembered by 19 nieces and nephews as well as their families. There will be no formal service held as per Fred's wishes. Those who wish to honour Fred's memory may make a donation to Huron Hospice Residence or the Clinton Public Hospital.
