To Barb's family,
We extend our deepest sympathy in the loss of your Mom. She faced the illness that took her life with characteristic determination and acceptance. We cannot help but think of both your parents at this time. We have been Sawmill Road neighbors for over thirty years and know that both your parents were hardworking farmers as well as dedicated volunteers in the community. They will both be sincerely missed in the neighborhood. May God be your comfort now and in the days ahead.

So sorry to hear of Barb’s passing. I was a neighbour across the road from the Knox family and recall many times spent together. I recall going to her Trousseau Tea before she and Mel married. I often saw Barb when she was driving for One Care. She will be missed. Our deepest sympathy to the entire family.

To Teresa, Melanie, and Chris,
I am saddened to learn of Barb's passing. Growing up as a neighbour I have very fond memories of Melvin and the laughs we shared. Then you came your mother (the love of his life) to the neighbouthood. Could not get that smile off his face when Melvin met Barb. The community has lost a great woman and now they are together again. May you rest in peace Barb.
My Sympathy,
Lois Edey (Beacom)

Barb Knox's devotion to Camp Menesetung, and her leadership on our camp board will be remembered by me. Barb always began our meetings with a special inspirational thought, and was a leader not only in words, but also she worked tirelessly organizing, painting, cleaning, cooking , supporting volunteers and staff in any way she could. She always showed genuine caring and concern. Barb was the consummate Camp Menesetung cheerleader! With gratitude for sharing in Barb's life and camp journey. Sincere Condolences to Barb's family "all". Written with prayerful thought and many memories. Marilyn Elgie

We are so sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She and Mel were such strong supporters of camp and the community. In my five years as camp cook I would have great conversations with both of them. When I would leave on Friday night they would be there doing their part to tidy up camp for the next week. And often when I would arrive on Sunday they would also be there. I often wondered if they just stayed at camp over the weekend and had it ready for everyone when they returned. We often benefitted the bounty of their garden ie cucumbers and zucchini and from Barb's kitchen - lots of boxes of cookies. Enjoy all your memories for they cannot be taken from you . Theresa, Melanie and Chris, so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. You have now had a great loss of two very special people in your lives. They cared greatly for their family. Our more recent memories are of how much labor they put in helping to prepare the fundraising suppers for Camp Menesetung, carving turkeys (many turkeys),cooking, serving and clean-up. Helping in the community and beyond was always a priority. I am sure that you have many memories that will be great treasures to share with your friends and families.
Ross & Shirley Carter.

Dear Theresa, Melanie and Chris,
We are so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. What a special mother , friend and community member she was. One memorable thing - for the last twenty years, Barb cheerfully prepared, cooked and delivered every turkey ( carved and with the dressing and gravy ) that the UCW served at their many caterings. She seemed to love doing it and we were so grateful to her.
You have wonderful memories of her and your dad, and they were so very proud of all of you.
Our love and sympathy.
Barb and Allan Bosman
