ANDREWS: DONALD EDWIN “OZ’ Peacefully at Huron Residential Hospice, Clinton, with his family at his side, on Wednesday December 30, 2020. Mr. Donald Edwin “Oz” Andrews of Clinton in his 94th year. Beloved husband of the late Alice Elizabeth (Watson) Andrews. Loving father and father in law of Dave & Roxanne Andrews of Kincardine. Cherished by his grandchildren Lauren & Nathan. Survived by his brother Richard & Janice Andrews, and by sisters in law Lois, and Marian Andrews. Dearly missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frank & Mary Ellen Andrews, and by siblings and in laws Charles Andrews, Mary (Bill) Murch, Gene (Grant) Rath, Ruth (Arthur) Griffiths, Norma (Bob) Draper, Homer (Bernie) Andrews, Doug Andrews, Bill Andrews, Joyce (Grover) Clare. Oz was born and raised in Clinton, Ontario. He was a farmer and later in life worked at Epps Manufacturing Ltd. Of Clinton. Oz loved family. He held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren Lauren and Nathan. He never missed a hockey game, baseball game or swim meet. Oz will be remembered for his love of music. He was a member of several choirs and bands throughout his life. Oz had a passion for travelling. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved activities like snowmobiling and hiking in the Canadian Rockies. Oz was also an avid cyclist and badminton player. Another passion of Oz’s was building and flying model airplanes. He was a member of the Sky Harbour Modelers Club. Oz was a very kind-hearted man and always wanted to help others. He volunteered with many organizations including Big Brothers, Canadian Cancer Society as a volunteer driver, and One Care to deliver Meals on Wheels. Oz will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Thank you to the Palliative Care Team at the South West LHIN for providing services to Oz while he was at home. A special thank you to Huron Hospice and Dr. Duckworth for providing excellent, compassionate end of life care for Oz. Much gratitude as well to our family and friends for their ongoing support during this time. Cremation has taken place. Due to the current COVID protocols, a private family service will be held at the Falconer Funeral Homes – Clinton. A service to celebrate Oz’s life will be held when it is safe to share a hug and stories. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Huron Residential Hospice, or Clinton United Church would be greatly appreciated.
