Obituary of Kay Baer

BAER: Kathleen (Kay) August 7, 1929 - January 5, 2021 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kay (Kathleen) Baer (nee Phillips) on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. Predeceased by the love of her life Frank Baer (2009) and her parents Herman and MaryEllen Phillips. Kay was the proud mother of 10 children; Bryan and Joyce, Keith and Carol, Gwen and Don McClinchey, Brent, Greg and Lori, Martha and Doug Smith, Kevin and Mary Jean, Shelley and Ron Kirkconnell, Dale and Chrissy, Tracey and Brian Cooper. Kay was the loving grandma of Alyson, Amy, Kent, Jeff, Rob, Dan, Andrea, Erica, Jason, Derek, Shannon, Mark, Kyle, Janine, Jamie, Jennifer, Ryan, Tyler (predeceased 2020), Dylan and families. Kay was blessed with 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Kay and Frank were married for 60 years. They lived and farmed in Benmiller where they raised their 10 children. Kay went to work at the Goderich Hospital for many years. Kay and Frank enjoyed playing cards and going to dances with their friends and neighbours, but most of all they loved spending time with their family. Kay was such a kind and loving person and we will miss her so much. At Kay's request, cremation has taken place. Due to the limitations of COVID19 restrictions, a graveside memorial service will take place at Colborne Cemetery and will be announced at a future date.
