Obituary of George Reinink

REININK: George It is with great sadness we announce the loss of Gerrit (George) Reinink on Friday, February 19, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. Gerrit (George) Jan Reinink of Auburn in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Lois (Jackson) Reinink and son of Wilma Reinink and son-in-law of Hilda Jackson. Proud father of Gerrit Reinink, Shawn and Myria Reinink, Jordon and Veronica Reinink, Andrew Reinink and Mary Kate Allen. Opa of Melanie, Kenneth, Bentley and Paisley. Beloved brother and brother in law of Shirley Reinink, Joanna and Herman Ramaker, John and Ann Reinink, Esa and Gieny Tiesma, Reah Reinink, Diane and Gilbert Gieb, Doug and Donna Jackson, Sue and Windsor McDonald, Bill and Eliane Jackson and Dave and Kathy Newman. George will be missed by his friends Andy Ives and Robert Kolkman that took him to his beloved home in Port Loring and by his many other friends that George made along the way. Predeceased by his father Herm Reinink, father-in-law James Jackson, brother Henk Reinink and brother-in-law Ken Jackson. George spent many years on the road in sales, making friends along the way. George had a way of making conversation with anyone, even if he did not know you. He could make you feel comfortable and like he'd known you for years. He loved his vacation spot in Port Loring and the friends he made up there. George will never be forgotten in our hearts and minds of all of his family and friends. Public visitation will be held at Falconer Funeral Homes - Bluewater Chapel in Goderich on Tuesday, February 23rd and Wednesday, February 24th from 1:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. where a Private Family Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021. The family invites those who wish to view the service to visit George's memorial page on the funeral home's website on Thursday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m. Please note, according to the current protocols those wishing to attend the visitation must schedule a time by contacting the funeral home during business hours at 519-524-1221. No one will be permitted to visit without a scheduled time. The Bereavement Authority of Ontario and the Huron Perth County Health Unit have mandated all those who attend must wear a mask and maintain social distancing rules. To assist with this procedure we ask you to arrive 5 minutes ahead of your scheduled time, and wait in your car until directed into the Funeral Home. Spring Interment, Blyth Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Ronald McDonald House would be greatly appreciated. Messages of condolence for the Reinink family are welcome at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
