Obituary of Carlos Murguia

MURGUIA: Carlos After a short illness with cancer, Carlos passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital in Goderich on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Carlos Murguia Aguilar of Bayfield in his 57th year. If you knew Carlos, you know he was one of a kind. A sacred soul whose light shined from the inside out. Carlos had a life filled with adventure. Leaving home at a young age to explore the world with an entrepreneurial spirit. He landed in Provincetown where he met his beloved Doug. From that moment to the moment of Doug's passing in 2015, they were life partners, both in business and in love. Both were artists with a creative eye beyond this realm. They traveled while opening several restaurants and galleries, prior to landing in Bayfield. There they opened DaVinci Ristorante and Gallery, which they grew from a small cafe into a successful restaurant where many customers became much more than "just customers". Bayfield will be forever marked by their unique touch. Carlos is now peacefully at home with Doug, Francine (their cherished dog,) his father and his brother Oscar, along with many other loved ones. He says so long to a large, loving and passionate family whose love he felt strongly until his last breath. He also bids adieu to many dear friends. His dog Charlotte was the light of his life and will continue to be spoiled just as he would want. Recently, Carlos listed these as his ideal characteristics: Helping (happy,) caring, sensitive, strong, supportive, creative, inspirational, faithful, aware and protection. Well, we can wholeheartedly say that he was all those things and more. Carlos was unique and he inspired so many along the way. The lives he touched sparkle brighter because of him. At Carlos' request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place when it is safe to do so and will be announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Saint André Bessette Trust Fund (P.O. Box 70, Dublin, ON N0K 1E0) or Big Brother’s, Big Sister’s of South Huron (355 Main Street, P.O.
