George Creelman

Obituary of George Creelman

It was with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of George Creelman in his 80th year. Beloved husband to Joyce for 27 years. George was a very special funny, caring, gentle man. He touched the lives of many sharing his kindness and generosity of spirit. He is survived by his family Melissa (Livio) Sferrazza, Carolyn Tarr and Andrew (Donna) Tarr. Grandfather also known as ("Poppa") to Alfonzo and Zachary Sferrazza, ("Bubba") to Nathan and Alexandra Tarr, by all his nephews, nieces and cousins. George was predeceased by his father Donald and mother Celeste (Martin) Creelman and sister Irene (David) Walling. George grew up on a farm in Vineland, Ontario and graduated from the University of Guelph, "OAC" Alumni. George was well known as a long term, dedicated employee and General Manager of the Labatt Brewing Co., where he wore many hats during his career. He was very modest about his achievements. He touched many lives with his mentoring and common sense approach to problem solving. He made life long friends and put a lot of smiles on people's faces with his great sense of humour and story telling. His career path started him out in London, Ontario, Trinidad, then to Halifax, Nova Scotia where he spent the longest part of his Labatt working life ad finishing this career in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. George didn't stop here, he went on to become a Consultant/Salesman which was "No big surprise" to anyone who knew him. They would know how he had all the skills required. He reversed his role from buying and started selling brewing equipment. He loved every minute of his job. This career change took him to Chicago, and St. Louis until he retired. George worked hard, but always left time to play. He will be missed. We can still hear him saying ("Is there anyone ready for a tightner"). George's last two years were spent at Huronview, Long Term Care located in Clinton, Ontario, in the county of Huron, where we gained a whole new family and place full of love and care for which we can not "Thank" them enough and where he will be remembered for hi blue eyes and smile. As George had requested, he will be cremated and there will be a celebration of his life at a future date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Charity of you Choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Falconer Funeral Homes, Clinton.
