Obituary of Esther Winnifred McDonald

Peacefully on Monday June 23, 2014 at Seaforth Manor and surrounded by family, Esther Winnifred McDonald (nee Hiltz) went home to be with her Lord in her 89th year, just short of her 90th birthday on June 28, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Douglas K. McDonald (March 9, 2008). Sister in law of Dr. Bruce McDonald (Jackie) of Amherst, Nova Scotia, and Glen McDonald (Beverley) of Woodstock; special aunt of Robbin Sidwell (Darlene), Leaman Hiltz (Joyce) of Sackville, New Brunswick, Dr. Joan Schoenhals, USA and many other nieces and nephews on both sides of the family. She was a special friend to Doris Burke. Born to Otto & Olivia Hiltz in Port Bickerton, Nova Scotia, Winnie was the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by five sister and four brothers. Winnie was a long time member of the Joseph Street Gospel Hall in Clinton. Friends and family will be received at the Falconer Funeral Home - Clinton Chapel, 153 High Street, Clinton, on Saturday June 28 for viewing from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 pm with the Funeral Service commencing at 2:00 pm, members of the Gospel Hall officiating. The service will be followed by a committal service at the Clinton Cemetery. Memorial donations to Gideons International in Canada, Alzheimer Society, or the Charity of One's Choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
