The Pedersen-branch of the family send our condolences. The entire danish family are with you in our thoughts these days.
Some of us remember when Erik left with his sons as well as the uncertainty if we would ever see the family again. Fortunately we did. Over the years there have been visits both in Canada and in Denmark and lots of good memories are often shared here in Denmark. We have always cherished these visits, that kept the close bond between the family across the Atlantic.
As the families grows, we hope that the newer generations will remember their extended family abroad in loving memory of Erik who never forgot his Danish roots.

Then came the phone call I have feared for many years. It is time to say goodbye. I never said goodbye to you. We always said: I'll see you. We never knew, whether we would see eachother again, but we have had a lot of visits, a lot of "I'll see you". So from all of us on Alfavej, Aalborg, Denmark: Goodbye and we will see you.

Erik was like a second dad to me when I was in my teens. I will forever remember the great memories with great fondness of the good times I had with Ellen, Erik and all their kids, especially the time I lived with them in the early 70's. One of my many good memories was sitting in the family room with the big fire crackling away and Erik enjoying a big cigar after we all had a relaxing sauna. So many special memories! We'll all miss you Erik.

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter. And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help push away the pain and bring the smiles back again.
