To Ivan,
You were the kind of Neighbour everyone should have at one time or another. We were lucky to have you for a lifetime. You were always there to lend a hand , snowblow fix something or just visit and give us a smile. No matter how important the conversation you always took time to say hi to the Elliott kids!
During the teachers strike you became my best friend and helped me with the Moto ski when it wouldn't start.
And how many people would climb a roof to put up an antenna (free from Ivan) so I could explore my new hobby of ham radio! He even gave me my handle "CrackerJack" because of the crackle from my handheld walkietalkie radio and in part from from Dad calling me "Jack" half the time.
As I write this I can't help but think of dearly departed Mrs. Huller's quote, and if she had Ivan in mind when she said (and I mean no disrespect to family), "You can live without your family but you can't live without your neighbors!
I speak for my family when I say that Ivan will be sadly missed but always remembered especially by a young boy on a snowmobile from many years ago.
May we extend our sympathies to Anne , Michael and families. You are in our prayers.
Farewell to "Drivin Ivan", until we meet again.
