Last nite I dreamt of Chris... She was healthy and happy, her usual bright, fun, loving self. we strolled thru a lovely garden and sat on a big rock and chatted just as the old friends we were. When i awoke, i had tears in my eyes, but this is the way i will remember Chris and will think of her often. Goodbye my friend.

Brian and I would like to extend our sympathy to you at this very sad time in your life.
Alison has shared with us through Christine's writings and pictures your beautiful sailing trip. It was something we could only dream about. We always looked forward to your next adventure.
We met Christine for the first time at the wedding of our son and Alison. Christine gave a beautiful speech that day many years ago but I will never forget her comments on how important family is and even though their family was small they were mighty. She surely was a special person

I worked with Chris at Huron park SS in 1988 to 1992 when I was a VP at the school. Chris worked very hard with me establishing a "care bear" project where we took a high risk student on as a project (without telling them) and made at least one positive contact per day with them. It made a complete change in my bear. It also made a change in me to see if you spent quality time with a person, you can make a difference in their lives! Guidance situations required a lot of people reading skills and Chris did this task with talent. I am shocked by her passing and have many fond memories of our professional time together. She sure made an impact on me! God bless you during this difficult time. She was one of the few that really cared for kids 100% of the time, any time!

Dear Rob,
We were deeply saddened to learn of Chrissy's passing. She was a vibrant and adventurous person, with whom we shared many pleasant memories from our time at Burke's Beach. We also explored Drumheller's Tyrrell Museum together. We have known of her illness, but also of the incredible journeys you took together, and of her happiness and contentment with you. Our deepest sympathy is with you and Chris's family and friends.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Chris at Huron Park in Woodstock. I have fond memories of our semesters together in the Guidance department. Chris was always such a friendly and helpful person which was so appreciated during my early years of teaching.
Please accept my condolences. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rob,
It is with profound sadness that Joe and I learned that Chris has passed away. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you at this very difficult time.
I spent some time yesterday scrolling through Chris's blog and it is abundantly clear that despite her battle with cancer, she and you lived and enjoyed life together to the fullest, as evidenced by her happy smile in countless photos. I am sure that these precious memories will help sustain you and bring you comfort.

Dear Rob and friends; "The tide recedes but leaves behind - bright seashells on the sand. The sun goes down but gentle warmth still lingers on the land. The music stops and yet, it echoes on in sweet refrains...for every joy that passes something beautiful remains..." this was Chrissie and my most favourite quote we ever shared.
She has been the best part of our lives in friendship for many years, that words cannot express how broken your hearts and ours, are because she is no longer with us. Her memories of laughter and love will hopefully bring comfort to all who knew her. With love and remembrance of such a wonderful and loving friend, my best friend, Jan and Bobbie Hartford
