Obituary of Doris Marie Laidlaw

LAIDLAW At Braemar Nursing Home, Wingham on Tuesday November 4, 2014, Doris (Pierce) Laidlaw, formerly of Blyth in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late James Laidlaw (2010). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Bonnie & Wayne Gazel of Stratford and Connie & Richard Schumacher of Southampton. Dear grandfather of Curtis Gazel, and Avery Gazel & Edward Toews. Loving sister of Ethel Adams, Darlene Shobbrook & husband Gordon, June Knox & husband Charlie. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ethel & Alfred Pierce, brother Jim Pierce, sisters-in-law Bernice Pierce, Mary (Beacom) Ritchie, brothers-in-law Sid Adams, Bert Beacom, Ken Ritchie and a nephew Trent Shobbrook. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Blyth Chapel 407 Queen St. Blyth on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 2-4 P.M. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment Blyth Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
