Obituary of Karen Elane Courtney

COURTNEY: Karen Peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Monday, January 12, 2015. Karen Elane Courtney (nee Brandon) of Varna in her 59th year. Beloved wife of Bill Courtney. Dear mother and mother-in-law of April Courtney of Varna, Carrie and Derrick Sabourin of Lucan, Ken and Kerri Lyn Courtney of Bayfield, and Kyle (Bacon) and Michelle Courtney of Exeter. Exceptionally proud Grandma of three grandchildren, all born in 2014, Ava, Lucas and Kane. Daughter of Elane of Huronview and the late Ken Brandon. Sister and sister-in-law of Lynn and Jack Walker of Belgrave, Pat Brandon of Bayfield, Blair and Lyndsay Brandon of Surrey, B.C., Rusty Brandon of Varna, Kelly Brandon of Clinton, Betty and Wilfred Robinson of Tottenham, Bonnie and Mike O'Hara and Andy and Sonya Courtney all of Schomberg. Also survived by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents-in-law the late Norval and Verna Courtney. Mama C was a second mother to many and will be sadly missed and forever remembered by those she mentored and loved like her own. Friends will be received at Falconer Funeral Homes - Bluewater Chapel in Goderich on Friday, January 16th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Spring Interment, Bayfield Cemetery.
