To the Jardin family.
I know you will probably do not remember me or my family the de Haan's. We lived on the Ferguson Farm that was owned by the Anderson's in 19 48 -1951 The farm down the long lane by the cemetery.
We wanted to let you know how kind and generous your mother Ruth was to us kids when we first arrived in Canada. We couldn't speak English, but your Mom unlike so many others always welcomed us into her home.
Lyman you were in the same grade as my bother Sipke ( Now called Shadde) and myself Bakke ( now called Carmen). Donald was in the same grade as my brother Tjeerd (now called Sid). We hear from residents in the Auburn that your Mother was highly thought of. We are not surprised about that. she was a wonderful women. So sorry for your lose. B B Carmen Johnson

To all Members of the Jardin Family.
I wish to send my deepest thoughts of sympathy in the recent passing of your Mother, Grandmother and great Grandmother. She was a truly remarkable person and such a good and long time friend of my Mother Erika. She was very welcoming to our family as neighbours, and even though my Mother spoke very little English at the time, was inspired by her and glad to have a friend who would take the time and explain different aspects of the Canadian Culture. She was a truly majestic person and we should all be proud to have known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God Bless and may she rest in peace.
Evelyn and George Hones and family.

After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the memories that we've shared with our loved ones who have passed. This is what will keep Ruth alive in our hearts and in our minds. Ruth was a wonderful neighbour who showed my family the Canadian way of cooking and doing things.
Our condolences,
Erika During, Wingham
Siglinde and Gary Ryan, Ajax
