PYKE, Mary Kathryn (Kay) - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Kay Pyke on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Clinton Public Hospital. She is survived by her loving daughter, Cheryl (Mel) Hohner, and cherished grandmother of Julie and Michael Hohner, all of Clinton. She is also survived by her sister Jean Murray of Mississauga, sister-in-laws Hilda MacLennan of Scarborough, Eva (Sam) Karrel of Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and several nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Frank Pyke, parents, Margaret and Phillip MacLennan, sister Audrey Hudson, brother Ken MacLennan, and brothers-in-law Gil Hudson and Alex Murray. Kay was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia in 1922. She was a long-term member of the Eastern Star. With her husband, Kay was stationed at Air Force bases across Canada and parts of Europe. Most of her life she was employed by either the Ontario or Federal government in a human resources position, supporting payroll and personnel. At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Internment of ashes will take place at Baird's Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, 2015.
