Obituary of Lois Evelyn Van Vliet

LOIS VAN VLIET Loving and kind in all her ways Upright and just to the end of her days; Sincere and true, in her heart and mind, Beautiful memories, she left behind. Lois Evelyn (Cunningham) van Vliet passed away at Victoria Hospital in London in her 81st year on Sunday, September 27th. Born on her family farm on May 29th, 1935 Lois' passion was her family and friends; knitting, gardening and flowers. Lois was the beloved wife of Cornelis van Vliet and the dear Mother of Kim and Fiancé Nick Sauro of Windsor, Kent of Hearst and Todd of Toronto. She was the loving Grandmother of Ryan and Alexandria Tolton; Michael and Laura Sauro. Lois was predeceased by her Father, Vere Dorval Cunningham and Mother, Ethel Mary Brown; Brothers Elwin, Lorne and Laverne; sisters Doris, Joyce and June. She leaves to cherish her memory, three brothers Ford with Eunice, Burt with Anne, Garth with Ruth; Sister In Law Lois (Laverne.) Friends will be received by the family at the Falconer Funeral Home 407 Queen St., Blyth on Friday, October 2 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the Blyth United Church, 442 Mill St., Blyth on Saturday October 3, 2015 at 11 o'clock with Reverend Gary Clark officiating. Interment Blyth Union Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Blyth United Church or Clinton Public Hospital were appreciated by the family.
