Many fond memories of Doris - she was a wonderful friend to Jean and Al, particularly during their cottaging years in Bayfield. So sad to just be finding out the news - both Randy and I wish to pass on our sincerest condolences to the family - she was such a spunky ole' gal! She will be missed by friends and family.

To the Ball family,
We wish to extend our sympathies to you. We remember the good times at the Murray family picnic both at the farm and Bayfield. The picnic was a great chance for Bill Margaret and families to catch up. The highlight for Bill was the company during chores. Doris was always family focused and proud of her children and grandchildren. David and I will remember her hospitality when we stopped by their Florida retreat. We had a wonderful visit with both her and Dick and will always remember Justin's unplanned "dip" in their pool. We will remember Doris and her delicious family picnic dishes.
We pray for your family and hope your cherished memories offer comfort at this difficult time.

We are next door neighbors on Howard Street in Bayfield.
Our hearts go out to Doris' family, You are all in our thoughts and prayers at this time of sorrow.
We think of Doris with fondness and enjoyment. So much energy in one little lady! She was that bit of stability and friendship at our 'home away from home'. Whether we needed water when ours was turned off or make a phone call, Doris was there to help out. And talk... Dad and Doris loved to talk about stuff over the 'backyard fence' for hours on end.
We are thankful for having met Doris on life's journey.
Please let us know when the summer celebration is, we would love to attend.
God bless and provide

Our condolences to the Ball family on the loss of your mother Doris. We were near neighbours when you lived on Dunmurray (we still live on Groomsport) and our son, Adam, played in the same hockey league as Jeff. As a former advertising manager for the old EDP Division at Honeywell, I (Al) had many work associations with your dad, Dick.

Memories come flooding when you lose someone especially when they have been in your life since birth. Aunt Doris, for me, will mean one of a kind laughter, peppermint dessert at Christmas, pecan chocolate chip pie at family gatherings and many trips to the CNE...where I typically got sick from the rides.
Love to all my cousins who mean the world to me.

I'm sad Doris has died. She was a neighbour on Howard st and member of our book club where she was a gadfly as I said to Pat and Bud earlier. She was always opinionated about books, whether we liked hearing that or not. She will be missed by all. Jane

I will miss Doris. She was a delight in our book club disdained fiction, wanted facts. We always knew where she stood on an issue or and author. She never weakened.
She was a valued neighbor. I'm sad for her family. She is irreplaceable. Toni

Dave, Scott, Linda, Jeff and families, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing she was one hell of a person. I have so many good memories spending time with your family in the Dunmurray house, your Mom & Dad, Aunt Georgie, Granny, our Mom & Dad and us eight kids, we must have driven them crazy most of the time. Then throw in the Langley's and Halse's but it was always great times. I can only think there is one great reunion happening up there now.
God Bless you during this difficult time, but know that she has just entered another stage of her life and we will all meet again.
Love, Judy
