Roest, Willem (Bill) Gone to be with his Lord, peacefully at Strathroy-Middlesex General Hospital, on Friday, February 19, 2016 in his 96th year. Beloved husband of the late Maartje (Mae) Roest (2009). Loving father of Jane & Martin Guikema (Strathroy), Case & Laurie Roest (Collingwood), Tony Roest (Calgary), Bill and Liz Roest (Georgetown), Clarence and Jody Roest (Brantford), Arnold and Cathy Roest (Auburn) and Nellie Roest (Halifax). Dear Opa of 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a granddaughter Melissa Roest (1988). Also predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister in the Netherlands. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at the Strathroy East Christian Reformed Church (476 Metcalfe Street East) from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. A funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00 pm with Pastor Derek Bouma officiating. Internment will occur at a later date in the spring at Clinton Cemetery.
