Obituary of Marjorie Spano
At Huronview Home, Clinton on Thursday, March 31, 2016 Marjorie Spano nee Almey, formerly of London in her 97th year. Born in Kegworth, England in 1919, she emigrated with her family, arriving in Canada in July of 1920. Beloved wife of the late squadron leader (rtd.) Joseph Anthony Spano (1989). Loving mother of Lorraine Corrie & John Kassies, and Robert Spano, all of Clinton. Remembered by her son in law Dr. Michael Brennan of Victoria, B.C. Cherished grandmother of Kristine & Frank Snell, Jeffery & Kalen Corrie, Michael & Deborah Corrie, Robin & Keith Wybrow, Erin & James Kawalecki and great grandmother of David, Cassandra, Lauren, Madeline, Joseph, Theodore, Jackson, Zoe, and Devon. Dear sister of Brian & Irene Almey and John & Velma Almey. Predeceased by her daughter Dr. Linda Joan Spano (Brennan) and 7 siblings. Marjorie was a steadfast, resilient, and well liked woman who loved being outdoors and had a great passion for gardening. She spent many winters in Florida, made friends easily wherever she went and was very involved in community activities. At Marjorie's request cremation has taken place.
