Dear Hoogendoorn family. I would like to send my condolences regarding the death of your mother. I met with John and Ann Oskam today and they told me the news. I wish that I had known earlier because I would have attended the funeral and paid my respects to her and your families. Your mom and dad were wonderful people. I remember your father as a good natured, jolly soul. He was always smiling and light hearted. I know that Marietta considered him as her second father figure. Your mother was a very kind and compassionate woman. She always had a calming presence about her. She was always a gracious host when we visited.
I have been blessed to have had the Hoogendoorn family in my life. You have always been a warm, loving family that I have enjoyed spending time with. Your sincerity in your relationships with others is something that your parents instilled in you and it is something that your parents must have been very proud of. As my life has taken a turn, I miss those times, but I shall hold all of the memories close to my heart. All the best to all. Dave Uher
