Dear Kasia, Teresa, Betty, Irene, Rick and your families: I wanted to express to you all my deepest sympathy on the passing of your husband, father, and grandfather, Frank Konarski. He was a man with such a vivid personality and strong character that he will always remain in my memory with fondness. The many times that Franek and Kasia would come to visit my parents Kazimierz and Katarzyna's home in Blyth to play the card game "Tzshun" (this is the best I can write with my poor Polish), or "Thousand" over the years is something that still is so clear in my mind. He played cards the same way he lived life- with passion, intensity and devotion. I recognize that his absence will leave a hole in each of your hearts, but I know that your memories of him will help you through this difficult time. I truly wish that I had been able to travel back to Ontario to pay my respects and to attend Frank's funeral, but living over here in Vancouver, BC has its obvious drawbacks. I am so glad that my sister Margaret was able to be there in person, since I remember how touched I felt when you came to the funeral of my Dad in 1986 and my Mom in 1999. I remember Frank and from my parents ( Antoni and Natalie) who lived in the Blyth area in the 50s and 60s. Frank was incredibly strong and hard working. What a guy! Glad to hear he had such a long life!
