Obituary of Paul David Greenwood

GREENWOOD: PAUL DAVID - NOVEMBER 6, 1945- SEPTEMBER 1, 2016 We are sad to announce the passing of Paul David Greenwood. Paul passed away peacefully at Clinton Public Hospital on Thursday September 1, 2016. Dearly loved husband of 51 years and best friend of Carol. Loving father of Lauri Ladd (Kim), Dale Greenwood (Kristy), and Darryl Greenwood (Jo-Ann). Proud grandpa of Cameron Greenwood (Katelyn), Shauna Greenwood (Connor), A.J. Ladd, and Jessica Ladd. Dear brother of Pat Wilson, and Les Greenwood (Shirley). Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Bernice, and brother Dennis. Paul was a knowledgeable, hardworking life-long butcher who grew up in the industry and mentored many. Paul worked together with his brother Les and father at their family business, Corbett Abattoir. He spent many years before his retirement at several other meat establishments. Paul coached and played hockey and baseball, was a scout leader, umpire, bowler, and devoted Toronto Maple Leaf, Blue Jays, and NASCAR fan. Paul was also past President of the Clinton Optimist Club. Paul will be greatly missed by his fur babies and fish friends. Paul passionately loved fishing and enjoyed spending time with friends and family in a quest for the ultimate lunker Bass. – GONE FISHIN! At Paul’s request cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Paul’s life at the Clinton Legion 95 Kirk St., Clinton, on Friday September 9, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. with remembrances at 1 p.m. Thank you to the compassionate doctors and nurses at Clinton Public Hospital for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul’s memory may be made to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation, Clinton Optimist Club, or the London Humane Society.
