Obituary of Samuel George Argyle

Samuel George Argyle Suddenly at home on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 Samuel “Sam” Argyle of Goderich in his 89th year. Beloved husband to Margaret for 65 years. Loving father to Carol (Keith) Baer, Debbie (Gerald) Riley, Brian (partner Kim Brady and daughter Emily), and Lisa (John) De Jager all of Goderich. Adoring grandfather to Kent (Jennifer) and Jeff (Louise) Baer, Michael and Kris Riley, Jilian Mangel, Ralph and Sara Rubino, Izaak, Meghan, and Stephen De Jager.. Cherished Great Grandfather to Jessica, Travis, Rebecca, Jenna, Rhys, Kaxton, Hendrix and Linkoln. Loving brother to Janice MacAdam, Steve (Dianne) Argyle and Lyn (Doug) Webber. Loving brother-in-law to Anna Stirling, Ethel Desjardine, Jack Cole and Bert Schilbe. Missed by many nieces and nephews, special shop friends, fishing buddies and the Flippin' Eggs Family. Predeceased by brothers Gordon, Bob and William, sisters-in-law Doris Schilbe and Ethel Cole and brothers-in-law Grant Stirling, Wilmer Desjardine and Donald Bert MacAdam. Sam was a respected mechanic and business operator in Goderich since 1960. He was an avid motorcyclist, boater and fisherman. He loved to race anything with an engine. He loved being outdoors and tinkering in his shed. Sam will be especially missed by long time friend Bob Henshaw. Friends and family will be received at Falconer Funeral Homes – Bluewater Chapel (201 Suncoast Drive East) for visitation on Thursday October 27th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Funeral Service on Friday, October 28th at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Burial of ashes at Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or The Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
