Obituary of Phylis Winnifred Gant

Strong-Gant, Phylis Winnifred (Nee Steep) Passed away peacefully at Huronview Home for the Aged, Clinton on Wednesday December 14, 2016 in her 87th year surrounded by her loving daughters. Beloved wife of the late Donald Strong and Gene Gant. Devoted mother of Bill Strong, Ken (Sandy) Strong, Pat (Ron) Wood, Grace (Jim) Escott, Deannie Hamilton, Donna Carrick, and Marj (Dennis) Dolmage. Phylis will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her 16 grandchildren and her 25 great-grandchildren. Survived by her sisters in law Peggy Strong, Shirley Strong and brother in law Pat Ryan and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by all her siblings and their spouses, daughter in law Libby Strong, son in laws Donald Dolmage and Ernie Moore. At Phylis's request cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will follow in the spring. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
