McMillen: Mary
Passed away suddenly at her home in Goderich on Thursday, December 15, 2016 in her 88th year. Survived by her sisters Della (John) Rodges of R. R. #2, Goderich and Alice (the late Ken) Vanderburgh of R. R. #3, Goderich. Also survived by special family member Ruby Morris of Goderich, nieces and nephews Tressa (Dean) Ducharme of Exeter, Lisa (Rob) Elder of Zurich, Bradley (Toni) Rodges of West Elgin, Trevor Vanderburgh, Marianne Vanderburgh both of Goderich and many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Jessie (nee MacInnis) McMillen and her cousin Margaret McMillen Mayman and her husband Joe.
The burial service will take place at Maitland Cemetery in Goderich on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:30 a,.m. followed by a Celebration of her Life at Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich at 12:00 noon. You are welcome to drop in and celebrate memories of Mary's life.
Mary worked as a civil servant at CFB Clinton until its closure in 1971 and then the Ontario Lottery Corporation in Kitchener until her retirement in 1990. She was an Area Commissioner and lifetime member of the Girl Guides of Canada and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer driver for 20 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alexandra Marine and General Hospital Foundation, Knox Presbyterian Church, Goderich or charity of one's choice would be greatly appreciated.
