Obituary of James Reid Hogg

HOGG: James Reid At his home on Tuesday, January 24, 2017. James Reid Hogg of Goderich in his 84th year. Jim leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Catherine (nee Bogie). Cherished father and father-in-law to Jim and Colleen Hogg, Aileen and Paul Petrozzi and Alex and Angel Hogg. Proud Papa of 11 grandchildren, Ashley, Laural, Ashley, Jessie, Katlyn, Kimberley, Kyle, Jake, Jessica, Chance and Caiden and 8 beautiful great grandchildren. Loving son of the late James and Margaret Hogg (Edinburgh). Close son in law to the late Stephen and Isabella Bogie (Windsor). Dear brother of Jessie (Edinburgh) and the late Donald Hadden, Alex and Liz (England) and the late Betty Luke. Dear brother-in-law of Willie and Marion Luke. Many fond memories of nieces, nephews and cousins from both sides of the family. Jim was born in Edinbugh and served his apprenticeship in Henry Robbs, Leith, Scotland with close mate the late John Bogie. Came to Canada in 1953. Jim was a proud member of Millwright Union #1592, Sarnia and #1244, Windsor. Jim appreciated his visits and support from his friends during his illness. A celebration of his life with family, friends and neighbors will be held at a later date at his home that he loved and in Windsor. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either Homeless Veteran Fund at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #109, Goderich or the Bursary Fund Royal Canadian Legion Riverside #255, Windsor would be greatly appreciated.
