Obituary of Douglas Frederick Andrews

Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Huronview Home, Clinton on Friday, February 16, 2018. Douglas Frederick Andrews of Clinton in his 93rd year. Beloved husband for 72 years of Marian Andrews (nee Wilson). Dear father and father-in-law of Mary Ellen and Bob Pearson of Sarnia, Charles and Janet Andrews of Cambridge and Robert and Debbie Andrews of Ilderton. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Dean, Diana, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Matthew, Kelly, Kerri, Christopher, their partners and 21 great-grandchildren. Brother and brother-in-law to Don (Oz), Richard, Jan and Lois. Predeceased by his brothers Charles, Homer, William and sisters Mary, Gene, Ruth, Joyce and Norma. Friends will be received at Falconer Funeral Homes - Clinton Chapel, 153 High Street, Clinton on Wednesday, February 21st from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Clinton Branch #140 will hold a memorial service at the Funeral Home on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.

Doug proudly served his country in the D.E.M.S. during World War II and has been a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 72 years. He organized reunions of his Navy comrades which continue today. Doug influenced many lives through his love of coaching baseball and hockey in both Clinton and Ilderton.
