Obituary of Verna Robertson

ROBERTSON: VERNA MARIE

Peacefully at Huronview Home, Clinton, on Wednesday June 5, 2019 Ms. Verna Marie Robertson of Clinton in her 86^th year.  Verna was the last surviving member of the Robertson family of Mitchell, Ontario.  Wife of the late Harvey William Garniss, and the late William James Stinson.  Dearly loved mother of Gina & Rick Shropshall of Clinton, Roger Garniss & Ilona Luther of Goderich, Gary & Judy Garniss of Goderich, Paul & Dianne Garniss of Hamilton, Jim & Julie Stinson of Hamilton, Heather & Paul Wick of Grande Prairie, Alberta, Step-mother of Sue Riley of Hensall, and Joanne Thompson of London.  Verna is the cherished grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.  Also missed by many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents Russell & Hazel Robertson, siblings Leonard, Eleanor, Greta, Florence, and Lorraine, and by 2 grandchildren.  Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes – Clinton Chapel, 153 High St., Clinton, on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday June 8, 2019 from 1 p.m. until time of the service at 2 p.m.  Cremation to follow.  Interment of ashes at a later date.  As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to Friends of Hullett, the Alzheimer’s Society, or the Charity of One’s Choice would be appreciated.  Messages of condolence for Verna’s family may be placed at www.falconerfuneralhomes.com
