Dear Barb and Family;
Our sincere sympathy in the shocking loss of your dear husband, father and grandfather. Over the years Mel was in the choir, we had many early morning chats. It was evident that his passions were his family, farming, Camp Menesetung and his music, and we not only will miss that lovely voice in the choir, but his good nature and dependability. We are so sorry for your loss.
Love to all,
Barb and Allan

Dear Barb and the family,
My sinceriest condolences to you in this time. Mel will always be that kind, funny, talkative man who loved to burn things at camp. I remember talking to him for hours about snaking a toilet, and other times talking about his funny encounters he’s had with Camp Menesetung. I’ll always remember him and be greatful that I was one of the lucky ones to have talked and worked with him.
Rest In Peace Mel

So sorry and shocked to hear about Melvin as we are sure the family must feel as well. Our thoughts are with the family and and hope that the wonderful memories that you have of Melvin will help you get through this difficult time. I remember well his love of the farm, the machinery and his joy at being able to be a farmer. It was truly an important part of his life from the time he was old enough to walk.
All that he did was done with true devotion. His love of Barb and his family was very sincere and extremely important to him.
He and Barb put many hours of time and constructive labor into helping to make Camp Menesetung a great place to visit and enjoy.

Dear Barb and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of this sudden loss. Mel was a wonderful person. I met Mel through my kids who have been counselors at Camp Menesetung through the years. They adore him and will miss him very much. They all loved how he loved to tell stories and how passionate he was about camp. Such a positive impact he has made on the lives of many children and teens. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time.

Barb & Family,
I have many fond memories of volunteering at Camp Menesetung with Mel. We planted seeds in each other’s minds that would nurture into projects. We did not always agree but sometimes we just needed to stop and go to Flipping Eggs for a break. We will miss him at camp as we have missed Barb over the past year.
