So sad to hear the news of the passing of Helen may she and Doug RIP. Great memories of Doug & Helen in Ireland after our original chance meeting in Clearwater Florida while we were on vacation many years ago. They found it very difficult to cope with our Irish roads, particularly on the way back from Johnnie’s Foxe’s pub in the Wicklow mountains after a few pints! May they both RIP. Oh dear! I am just learning of your Mom's passing today, November 26. I am so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was an incredible 'captain/co-captain' of the famous Bartliff's Bakery! I learned so much about business and 'food' from my years of working with her! May she rest in peace. Sincerely, Sharon Veenstra (Ellis).

Dear Cathy, Peggy and Julie,
We are so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. We too connect her with the restaurant - Bartliff’s was the first place both of our girls worked when they were teenagers- they received excellent training in many of the important things in life, and we got to know your mom, dad and all of you.
Our sincere sympathy and love....

Dear Bartliff Family,
Sorry to hear of Helen's passing. I always remember growing up and going down to the bakery and Helen would always greet me, even though at times I would try their patience. She would give me a cookie if I asked. I also worked with Doug in the bakery downstairs helping bake bread and donuts. Always fond memories with the Bartliff family. I know my moms and dad (John, Irene and Laura), as well as Doug, will gladly welcome Helen. They will be partying it up there. Know that she is in many hearts and will always be loved. Strength and happiness go out to all who are missing her at this trying time.
