McInnes: Nancy Dianne

Nancy passed away peacefully at Anfield Manor in Clinton on Wednesday October 30, 2019.  She was born April 21, 1963. She grew up near Hollyrood and at 10 years old she moved with her family to Blyth.  After a marketing diploma from Fanshawe College, she went to work as a nanny in France for a year. She returned to Canada but spent the rest of her life seeing as much of the world as she could.  She worked for VIA Rail, Sick Kids in Toronto, Westcast in Wingham and McMaster University in Hamilton.  While working she obtained a bachelor’s degree in communications and psychology from Wilfred Laurier University. She fought a nine year battle with cancer and the side effects of its treatment.  Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Dan and Anne McInnes.  Survived by her best friend and faithful cocker spaniel, Caleigh, brothers Robert of Blyth and Dale (Karen) of Glencoe.  She is also survived by nephews and nieces, Kevin (Lorrinda) McInnes and Carleigh (Shawn) McInnes, Kendall Wingard and Kelsey (Paul) MacNeill and Courtney Wingard, great nephew Griffin, and aunt Mabel Johnson of St. Catharines.  She will be sadly missed by many close friends including Deb and Fred Hakkers of Blyth and Sherrie and Jim Johnson of Simcoe.  The Funeral Service will be held at Blyth United Church, 442 Mill Street, Blyth, ON N0M 1H0 on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment, Teeswater-Culross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Assistance Program, in Hamilton Ontario, 569 Concession Street or the charity of your choice.
