I like Marie's comments above was saddened to hear of Jerry's passing. After I retired from the funeral home I was also able to help out at Plant Paradise for a few years and got to know him but more by his nick name Magoo. I was lucky enough that he shared a few stories of his life with me over those few years. Yes I will remember the break times and Marie & Gary's dogs gathering around Magoo. He surely had a true love of animals and they loved him. It was a pleasure to know you Magoo. You will be missed. May you rest in peace .

Gary and I were very saddened to hear of the passing of Jerry. He was known to many as Magoo. He helped us at the greenhouses at Plant Paradise for several years. His passion for plants was the beginning of many years of friendship and helping to transplant seedlings, filling pots and will be remembered by all staff for his willingness to help with any task. His quirky smile put a smile on everyones face. He loved to go with Gary and Trouble on deliveries of plants and was well known by by the customers. His love for animals was shown by the love he gave to our dog Trouble and our cat Leo. They would follow him anywhere. We would watch him going and coming from his home to the greenhouses with “his” four legged buddies right beside him. Never was a leash required. They loved to curl up on his coat on the benches where Magoo was working and sleep the day away. Now they will be walking with him in his place of glory. Miss you friend. You no longer have to struggle. Marie and Gary Van Dorp.❤️
