Chicken lived just up the road from us and would stop in to chat and for a drink. I remember the day of our Anniversary Party, he arrived at our place around noon. He was a little early since the festivities didn't start until 7 pm, but he just laughed and he came back later to enjoy the evening. The last few years have been hard on him so we hope he is resting peacefully.

Don lived just down the road from us. We met years ago when he asked to check on the turkey population at the back of our farm. We often talked over a cup of tea after he had snowshoed to the back. When he was admitted to Huronview we continued to talk about the land we love and the wildlife that lives around us. Don knew both our mothers and would try to engage them in conversation but they were beyond that. Don was a gentle giant and we will miss him. Our thoughts are with his family and the beautiful grandchildren he so loved to talk about. Rest in Peace Don.
