Obituary of Irene Johnston

At Alexandra Marine & General Hospital, Goderich on Saturday, February 1, 2014 Irene Sarah (Leitch) Johnston of Varna in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Ford W. Johnston (2002). Dear mother of Gary (Marlene) Johnston of Edmonton, Rex (Mary Ann) Johnston of Goderich, Brian (Debra) Johnston of Exeter and Tom Johnston of Varna. Missed by her grandchildren Sherry, Brad, Jenny, Julie, Mike, Mandy, Stephanie, Melanie, Ashley, Michelle, Justine, Kelsey and Tyson and by her 6 great grandchildren. Survived by her siblings Ann & Eugene Ryan, Ab & Ev Leitch, Vi Leitch, Shirley & Fred Skelton and Marlene Creagmile. Also remembered by Sharon Munn, Judy Armstrong-Johnston, Lynn Johnston and Wendy Penhale-Johnston. Predeceased by her sons Allan and Larry, her grandson Jason and sister Elsie Dopfer. Irene's family thanks Dr. Stan Spacek and the staff at Maitland Manor for their attentive care. Visitation will be held at the Falconer Funeral Homes, Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Dr. East Goderich on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. with funeral service commencing at 3:00 p.m. Reverend David Robins officiating. Spring Interment, Bayfield Cemetery.
