We are at a loss for words at the passing of Don, our much loved brother-in law. He has always been a solid rock for the Hallman family. He was a man we wanted to be around. He never missed an opportunity to get together to celebrate a birthday or attend our family picnic at the Hallman farm house. He was a man we all looked up to and enjoyed his jokes and stories. He will be dearly missed by all of us. Our deepest sympathies go out to Willa and the Albrecht family.

My sympathies to You, Mrs. Albrecht, and Family at the passing of your dear Husband, Father, Grand-Father. I have known your Family for several years. Very hard working people. Very kind and consistently considerate of others. Loved a good joke-loved to play jokes-all good natured-on others. You are happily reunited with Bob, Pastor Bruce, Ken, Earla, and so many others! Caring for you.

Brother Albrecht was a man that never gave up on his dreams or calling. Remembering working with him as he ministered the Word at the last camp meeting I had on the farm at Gould Lake, Ontario!! What an awesome time we had; especially the night that Sister Albrecht came along with Missionary Joy. I know the Lord was pleased with his servant, Pastor Don. This is one of several times our family was blessed to minister with Bro Albrecht and is refreshing to my spirit each time I recall!! He was a walking example of his Jesus: Deut 30:14”the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it” thanks from Evangelist Gloria Hills

My first memory of Don was many years ago when Jim Morrison, our pastor at Wingham Pentecostal Church, encouraged Don to settle into a church with his family. He chose our church, and his family made up a large part of our congregation at that time! From there, Don and his family have gone on to serve the Lord in several capacities. What an amazing legacy. God bless you, Willa and family as you treasure all the special memories.

This is Cynthia, granddaughter of Sylvia Kropf/Elton Kropf & adopted granddaughter of Dave & Marie Albrecht, daughter of Heather Koch. I remember Uncle Donny more than most of our enormous family - I remember the support he gave to Elton & Sylvia. I remember all the fun adventurous joy adventures he took with grandpa Elton. I remember playing Rook with him at the Hallman reunion and his jovial spirit when we played theater and made up plays. I remember him praying for everyone and everything that crossed his path. Heck I even remember the stock car races!!! Those were the highlight of my very young years and made me a little bit of a loud noise roaring engine adventure lover too.
Death is this strange thing, isn’t it? Where the imprint of ones life is left even more bright and visible to all of those you have touched. And Uncle Donny’s light is quite bright still in so many lives.
I like to think of funerals as one big jigsaw puzzle. And, every one of us holds pieces of that puzzle.
Aunt Willa holds so many. Joy & Brenda hold many more. Elton and Dave - many others. And each of us, moments of that puzzle we call Don’s life when we got a little moment of his soul shared with us. And so, with all our puzzle pieces, perhaps we get to recreate you for at least a day Don. To say goodbye. To say thank you. To say whatever we need to say, before we carry the pieces with us through the world.
I’m sorry I can’t be there to celebrate your life Uncle D. But - I’ll pass my pieces of the puzzle along in spirit, with love xoxo
Cynthia

Dear Willa and Family,
Please except our sympathy in the passing of Don. We know you will miss him as a companion and an inspiration to follow Christ. I was (Charles) glad to be able to visit with him several times at Heartland Community Church when he helped in our soup kitchen ministry for a while. When he first arrived, I introduced him as "my rich uncle." Donnie seemed to be a spiritually minded, fully devoted, and fun loving Christian. And now at last he is Home sweet Home in heaven with his Lord and Saviour. Grace and peace be with you.

What a Man of God, my first encounter with Brother Don goes back to the days when I pastored in Parry Sound. He was funny, a great story teller and filled with the Holy Spirit. What legacy for all of you to enjoy and carry on. It must have been quite the moment when Brother Don entered heaven’s gates. I can hardly wait to see him again.
In our thoughts and prayers. You are an Amazing Family.
