Obituary of Stephen Grant Hawkey

Stephen Grant Hawkey passed away peacefully July 26, 2014 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Carol Eliza Hawkey (Yates), Carol and Steve celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together this past June. Steve will be lovingly remembered by his family, Kendra and David, Paul and Val, Sandra and Ken, Joan and John, Richard and Leanne and Beverly and Jim. Uncle Steve will be dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Steve had a long and fulfilling career as a teacher and principal with the Kitchener Waterloo Board of Education. Devoted, kind and generous, he was passionate about cars, travel, literature, humour, friends and family. Special thanks to all the care and kindness of Dr. Dawson and his staff, 2nd floor Nurses and the Community Service teams. Steve's family will have a private celebration of his life.
