Obituary of Donald Douglas Graham

GRAHAM: Donald Douglas Passed away peacefully in Goderich on October 19, 2014 in his 92nd year. Born and raised in Goderich, Doug served Canada during World War II in the Royal Canadian Navy, primarily on the HMCS Haida. Following the war, Doug became a merchant seaman and sailed the world until his retirement in 1968. Following his retirement, Doug divided the year between Goderich and St. Petersburg, Florida. Pre-deceased by his parents, Malcolm and Hannah Graham, brothers James and Captain Roderick (RJ) Graham, sister Helen Nicholson, sisters-in-law Joan Graham, Christine Graham, nephew Ken Nicholson and niece Jane Nicholson. Survived by brother Captain Angus Graham of Forest, nephews Scot Graham and James Graham of Sarnia, Bruce Graham (Mary) of Gwinn, Michigan, Heather Herl (Carl) of Coral, Michigan, Lori Graham of Howard City, Michigan and Danny Nicholson and his son Luke of Toronto. Doug will be fondly remembered by many great-nephews and nieces and cousins and friends in Canada, the United States and England. A Memorial service will be held at Falconer Funeral Homes - Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Drive, East, Goderich on Monday, November 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Bill Vanderstelt of Knox Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment of ashes in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #109, Goderich would be greatly appreciated.
