What I'm going to remember most about Gramma is her smile and always happy mood. She was always genuinely interested and caring about everything. The last time we visited, me and Camille went on a shopping spree in London and she wanted to check out and talk about every little thing we came back with. Her gardens were always gorgeous, and we used to love feeding the monster squirrels that would hang out. And going looking for crawfish in the park in London. I remember Marion as a very efficient secretary at Sparta School. Bob and I enjoyed sitting with her at hockey games when Jeff played on the Port Stanley team with our son, Kent. I always thought of Marion as the embodiment of what a 'lady' is. Our thoughts are with Red and the family at this difficult time.

When I think of Grama I remember her grace. And her laugh, so joyful. And all the letters and cards that she would send, and I would reply to - I always looked forward to those! It was hard to stay connected being so far away, but she managed to do that. The last time I saw her was when she came out West to visit, and got to meet our youngest daughter, Katherine, just 8 weeks old at the time. It was beautiful to see so many generations together, all wonderful, strong individuals that she has influenced with her compassion and kind heart.
