In Memory of Ruth
I would like to tell you a story, a story of a woman who changed the life of so many.
Ruth Beane is an extraordinary person. I say “is” because she is still alive just not here with us. Ruth Beane was just a young girl, when she was invited by a friend to a Church event similar to vacation Bible school of today, she heard the truth and she received it. She became a Christian that day, she lived that out in who she was and shared this truth with her family and they became Christians too. I knew Ruth personally for over 25 years. But she was praying for me decades before that. She prayed for the wife her son would marry and when I met Steven he took me to Church where I too accepted Christ. I know her prayers were a big part in my salvation and I am so thankful for that.
Ruth sacrificed much for her family, she made as much of her family’s clothes as she could, all with love. She loved to bake and many of the recipes I use today are those she has shared with me. Today I honor Ruth Beane a good friend, faithful servant of Jesus, loving Mother to Steven and Scott, devoted Grandmother to Sebastian and Angus, and best friend to her husband Lawrence for over half a century.
Ruth is fully alive in heaven and for all who will choose to believe in Jesus that can be said of you too. If there is one thing I think Ruth most wanted those she knew and loved to know was the way to heaven. As best as I know I now share that life saving message with you.
Our condition is we have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God, there is none righteous, no, not one for all have sinned, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. But God demonstrated His love toward us that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. For whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Scriptures noted below)
God reaches out to us by His Son and our response is saying yes, agreeing with Him about our condition, believing and receiving Him. Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
A simple conversation with God may begin something like this. I confess the Lord Jesus and believe in my heart that God raised Him from the dead. I receive His gift of eternal life. This is not a one time event but the beginning of a relationship with a living God, who wants to walk with you and to talk with you, to help you, to protect you, and to bless you.
Romans 3:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:10 King James Version (KJV)
10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
Romans 5:12 King James Version (KJV)
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 6:23 King James Version (KJV)
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 5:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 10:9-10 King James Version (KJV)
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:13 King James Version (KJV)
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
It was my privilege and honor to know Ruth Beane for so many years, our sorrow is made less by knowing the promises of God are true and she is not in pain anymore and we will see her again.
God bless,
Kim Beane

Lawrence, Betty and families-- Our deep condolence for our cousin Ruth - from Jack Taylor's girls --- MaryLou found this obituary through her friend Sandy Foulds who was a nursing student with Ruth and sent it on to me. Its been many years since Dad ( Jack) arranged for me to stay with you while I was plowing at the IPM which was being held near your home. Ruth was very hospitable to me -- I was probably 12 - 14 years old at that time. I believe he was on the board of the IPM at the time and was able to stay with others at one of the hotels in the area. Uncle Wray and Aunt Harriet ( Ruth's parents) were regular visitors at our farm in Burlington and I have very fond memories of those old times. Treasure your memories -- Ruth was lovely!! And we know will be missed by all her family!! with love-- Janet Taylor Walker

I am so sorry for your loss. Ruth was one of my RN's who worked the night shift at Ritz- always dependable, always committed to the residents, highly skilled. I remember all the times that Ruth slept overnight when the winter weather was nasty, just to make sure that she could make it in to work the following night and that when the weather settled, she got home safely to Lawrence. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
